  • Understand the question. Explore specialty questions, cases and study guides where available.
  • Example bank. Develop your own leadership, teamwork, teaching and QI evidence, ready to use across different questions.
  • Type or dictate. Get structured AI feedback on your answer, then make a focused improvement.
  • Keep building. Return to saved answers, examples and feedback as your preparation develops.

Everything in Core, plus

Core + Live AI Interviewer

An interviewer, ready when you are.

A live AI interviewer on demand. It asks, listens and responds to what you actually say, helping you practise a natural conversation and handle the next question.

  • Follow-ups that respond to you. Handle the next question based on the answer you’ve just given.
  • Rehearse without hints. Interview Mode gives you a realistic mock, with feedback afterwards.
  • Get coaching when you want it. Coach Mode helps you refine an answer with feedback and focused retries.
  • Fit practice around your day. 120 shared voice minutes for coaching and interviews, alongside the full Core programme.

Spoken practice · Coming at launch

The interviewer speaks. You answer out loud. It responds to what you say.

Hear the question, explain your thinking and handle the next challenge. Follow-up draws on your answer and the evidence you provide.

  1. Hear the question

The AI interviewer asks the question aloud, so practice feels like a conversation rather than a text chat.

  2. Answer out loud

Use your microphone and answer naturally. Your spoken response becomes part of the interview transcript.

  3. Get follow-up based on your answer

The interviewer listens to the content of your answer and can probe what you said, your evidence and the gaps you leave.

  4. Coach it, then test it

Coach mode gives feedback and lets you retry. Interview mode removes the hints and keeps feedback until the mock is complete.

Built around your evidence

Personalisation should change the questions, not just your name.

The preparation context is deliberately specific to this interview route. The aim is to help you choose, explain and defend your own evidence rather than memorise someone else's answer.

  1. Your anaesthetic, ICU, theatre and peri-operative exposure

  2. Examples of working under pressure and making safe decisions

  3. Teamwork, communication and leadership evidence

  4. Your reasons for choosing Anaesthetics or ACCS Anaesthetics

Confirmed 2027 format

The station domains, raw scoring and 60/100 appointability threshold are published. Individual regional dates and downloadable 2027 scoring documents are still being added.

  1. Clinical Judgement: five minutes of scenario reading followed by a 15-minute interview.

  2. Clinical Judgement assesses decision making, reflective practice and working under pressure as new information is introduced.

  3. General Interview: 15 minutes assessing communication, commitment to specialty and teamwork, including wider NHS issues relevant to anaesthesia.

Preparing the application as well as the interview?

Check the requirements, gather your evidence and prepare your next answer.

Two ways to practise

Learn with support. Then remove it.

Coach mode

Build the reasoning before you test it.

At launch, Coach Mode will help you make your clinical judgement explicit, strengthen reflective answers and sharpen the evidence behind your commitment and teamwork examples.

  • Work through evolving clinical scenarios aloud
  • Make prioritisation and escalation explicit
  • Strengthen reflection rather than rehearsing stock phrases
  • Retry general-interview answers with clearer evidence

Interview mode

Then run the stations without coaching.

At launch, Interview Mode will reproduce the rhythm of the Clinical Judgement and General Interview stations and hold feedback until the practice is complete.

  • Timed spoken Clinical Judgement practice
  • Progressive scenario follow-up
  • General Interview questions without hints
  • Structured review after the mock
