Core Preparation

Learn the approach. Build your evidence. Improve your answers.

More than a question bank: a structured workspace to turn what you know and what you’ve done into stronger interview answers.

  • Understand the question. Explore specialty questions, cases and study guides where available.
  • Example bank. Develop your own leadership, teamwork, teaching and QI evidence, ready to use across different questions.
  • Type or dictate. Get structured AI feedback on your answer, then make a focused improvement.
  • Keep building. Return to saved answers, examples and feedback as your preparation develops.

Everything in Core, plus

Core + Live AI Interviewer

An interviewer, ready when you are.

A live AI interviewer on demand. It asks, listens and responds to what you actually say, helping you practise a natural conversation and handle the next question.

  • Follow-ups that respond to you. Handle the next question based on the answer you’ve just given.
  • Rehearse without hints. Interview Mode gives you a realistic mock, with feedback afterwards.
  • Get coaching when you want it. Coach Mode helps you refine an answer with feedback and focused retries.
  • Fit practice around your day. 120 shared voice minutes for coaching and interviews, alongside the full Core programme.

Spoken practice · Coming at launch

The interviewer speaks. You answer out loud. It responds to what you say.

Hear the question, explain your thinking and handle the next challenge. Follow-up draws on your answer and the evidence you provide.

  1. Hear the question

The AI interviewer asks the question aloud, so practice feels like a conversation rather than a text chat.

  2. Answer out loud

Use your microphone and answer naturally. Your spoken response becomes part of the interview transcript.

  3. Get follow-up based on your answer

The interviewer listens to the content of your answer and can probe what you said, your evidence and the gaps you leave.

  4. Coach it, then test it

Coach mode gives feedback and lets you retry. Interview mode removes the hints and keeps feedback until the mock is complete.

Built around your evidence

Personalisation should change the questions, not just your name.

The preparation context is deliberately specific to this interview route. The aim is to help you choose, explain and defend your own evidence rather than memorise someone else's answer.

  1. Your CV and career history

  2. The selected job specialty and its clinical context

  3. The actual job description and person specification

  4. Organisation, visit and pre-interview notes

  5. Your examples across teamwork, governance, teaching and QI

Your interview specification

The job pack is the blueprint.

There is no single national interview format for locally employed Clinical Fellow or Trust Grade posts. Preparation should follow the advertised role and person specification while using the selected specialty to keep clinical practice relevant.

The exact panel format varies by employer and post. The product therefore uses the actual job context and your selected specialty rather than assuming one universal script.

  1. Use the essential and desirable criteria to predict what the panel needs evidence for.

  2. Calibrate leadership, governance and judgement to the advertised grade.

  3. Expect non-clinical questions such as motivation, relevant experience, teamwork, governance and organisation fit, with clinical questioning where appropriate to the post.

Preparing the application as well as the interview?

Check the requirements, gather your evidence and prepare your next answer.

Two ways to practise

Learn with support. Then remove it.

Coach mode

Coach the answer against the actual job.

Coach Mode can combine your career profile with the target job so feedback is about relevance and evidence, not generic interview polish.

  • Identify stronger examples from your own experience
  • Challenge weak links to the person specification
  • Improve personal ownership and impact
  • Calibrate leadership and judgement to grade
  • Rehearse Medicine or Surgery clinical scenarios, or focus on job-specific non-clinical questions

Interview mode

Run a job-specific mock.

Interview Mode uses the same CV and job context but removes the coaching until the mock is complete.

  • Role-specific panel questioning
  • Follow-up based on what you say
  • No hints during the interview
  • Job-specific non-clinical questions across specialties, with Medicine and Surgery clinical scenarios at launch
  • Job-specific feedback afterwards
