How we use your information to provide and support The Interview Bank.

Last updated 25 October 2026

Who we are

The Interview Bank is operated by BELMAR RADIOLOGY LIMITED (“BELMAR”), company number 17047911. BELMAR is responsible for your personal information.

Privacy enquiries: hello@theinterviewbank.com.

Information we use

Information comes from you, your use of the service and our sign-in and payment providers.

  • account and contact information;
  • optional CV or career information you provide for preparation;
  • typed answers, and audio or transcripts when you use voice features;
  • practice history, progress and feedback;
  • purchase and access information;
  • support messages and reports; and
  • technical, security and service-use information needed to operate and protect the service.

Do not submit patient-identifiable information. Please also leave out unnecessary sensitive details about yourself or other people. You can practise without uploading a CV.

How we use information

  • Provide your account and requested preparation: account, purchase, CV, answer and practice records help us deliver access, AI dialogue, feedback and saved work. Our basis is our agreement with you, including steps you ask us to take before it.
  • Support, security and service quality: relevant correspondence, reports and technical records help us resolve problems, prevent misuse and improve the service. Our basis is our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
  • Required business records: we keep necessary transaction and other records to meet legal obligations and handle legal claims where applicable.
  • Optional marketing: where we ask for consent, it is separate and you can withdraw it at any time.

MSRA study preferences and security

For standalone MSRA processing, read the MSRA Privacy Notice.

Specialty, sitting and referral preferences are optional and editable in Study preferences. They do not provide consent for marketing or advertising measurement.

Short-term account request counts help protect the bank. The MSRA notice explains these security records and their retention. Unusual activity may prompt a review; it does not automatically establish account sharing.

AI-assisted business operations

BELMAR RADIOLOGY LIMITED uses artificial intelligence services, including those provided by OpenAI, to support aspects of its business operations. These activities may include educational content development, quality assurance, customer support, analysis of service usage and administrative functions.

Where relevant to these activities, information processed may include customer correspondence, account and transaction information, question feedback and service usage data.

Personal data is processed for legitimate business purposes, subject to applicable data protection requirements. BELMAR seeks to limit the personal data shared with external service providers to what is necessary for the relevant activity and maintains oversight of AI-assisted outputs.

For these activities, BELMAR uses ChatGPT with model training disabled. Personal data processed through these services remains subject to the applicable provider terms, retention arrangements and international data transfer requirements.

We use anonymous or aggregate material for routine business analysis. Identifiable customer information is limited to services with appropriate business data protections.

AI-assisted tools support BELMAR's operations but do not replace its responsibility for customer communications, educational content or the handling of personal information.

AI and service providers

Lovable and its managed Supabase infrastructure support hosting, accounts and saved work. OpenAI processes relevant answers, career material or audio for the AI features you use. Google Cloud Text-to-Speech provides spoken dialogue when that option is enabled. Stripe handles payment checkout when purchases are available. Communications and infrastructure providers also process the information needed for their services.

OpenAI API inputs and outputs are not used for model training by default. Standard security and misuse monitoring may retain content for up to 30 days, with exceptions under its terms.

Some providers process information outside the UK. We assess the relevant arrangements and use recognised adequacy decisions or contractual safeguards, including UK transfer clauses or the UK Addendum where required. Contact us for details or a copy of the safeguards relevant to your information. We do not sell your personal information.

How long information is kept

Account details, saved career profiles, answers and feedback are kept while needed for your account and learning history. We review accounts after 12 months of inactivity and contact you before removing saved work. Inactivity alone does not cancel purchased access.

Uploaded CV files and pasted source text are used for extraction and are not saved in your profile. Temporary dictation audio is cleared after a successful transcript; abandoned submissions are eligible for removal after seven days. Short-lived transcript caches expire after 30 minutes and are cleared by routine maintenance.

Routine support records are normally kept for 12 months after closure. Necessary company accounting records are generally kept for six years from the end of the relevant financial year. Specific disputes, security investigations or legal requirements may justify longer retention of relevant records. Provider logs and backups follow their applicable retention arrangements; deletion from the active service may precede expiry of a backup copy.

Marketing

Creating an account does not by itself sign you up to promotional email. Where BELMAR asks for promotional email consent, the choice will be separate and optional.

BELMAR may still send necessary account, security, purchase and service communications.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, data-protection law may give you rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent.

Contact hello@theinterviewbank.com to exercise your rights. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We normally respond within one calendar month and will explain any lawful extension or information we need to confirm your identity.

You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation, and to direct marketing at any time. If you request deletion, we will explain any records we must keep and clarify the effect on a shared account or purchased access.

AI feedback supports your practice; it does not decide recruitment or employment outcomes. Contact support to query feedback or a record.

Changes

BELMAR may update this Notice as the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be brought to users' attention where appropriate.
