Professional community
Useful O&G societies and trainee networks
Use organisations to learn, contribute, find a project or understand a field. Membership by itself is not evidence of commitment or leadership.
RCOG: curriculum, standards, exams and professional home
The College publishes recruitment advice, curricula, training matrices, examination information, clinical guidance and careers material. Start here for national professional information.
RCOG Trainees' Committee and Trainees' Register
These routes support trainee representation, communication, resources and engagement with College work. Applicants may use public resources without collecting memberships for display.
BUSOG: students and early career exploration
The British Undergraduate Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology supports student education and networking. It is most useful when you attend, teach or help with a defined activity.
UKARCOG: academic trainees and research
The UK Academic O&G trainee network connects people interested in research and academic careers. Ask for bounded participation that teaches the study rather than a nominal affiliation.
Specialist societies: depth after genuine exposure
Groups including BMFMS, BGCS, BSUG, BSGE and the British Fertility Society provide standards, meetings, education and research communities. Choose according to a developing interest or project.
